Grape Variety: Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc in small part.
Vineyards: From our Family-owned vineyards “Il Bricco” in Treiso in the Barbaresco region, “Bossania” in Trezzo Tinella and “Colombaro” in the Barolo area in Serralunga d’Alba, which will be replaced in the 2019 vintage with the “Mosconi” vineyard in Monforte d’Alba located in the Barolo region.
Vinification: In stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature.
Ageing: The Sauvignon part in stainless steel tanks. The Chardonnay part in barriques for a small amount time.
Notes: “L’Altro” is the Italian version for “the other”. We named this wine “L’Altro” in order to distinguish it from our first Chardonnay ever produced: Piodilei. Very fresh and fruity, with great minerality and a slight of vanilla note. Alc. 14%
Ratings
Vintage 2021
“A steely and fresh wine with sliced apple and lemon and some grapefruit. Flint and mineral undertones, too. Medium-bodied with a solid core of fruit and bright acidity. 10% sauvignon blanc. Drink or hold.” 92/100 James Suckling
