A top Amarone cru, the maximum expression of one of the finest terroir sites of Valpolicella Classica.

The deep, friable and well drained volcanic soil that characterises the historic vineyard of its production confers the soft tannins and hints of almonds and minerals that make it special. An elegant wine with great intensity and balance.

Area: Veneto

Grape varieties: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara.

Tasting notes

Look	opaque ruby red
Nose	intense and complex aromas of baked fruit and cinnamon.
Palate	full-bodied and well-balanced, with ripe cherry fl avours (sweet and marasca), baked plums and bitter almonds.

 

Exposure: South west exposure.

Height: 375-400 metres a.s.l.

Terrain: Hills of red eocenic limestone, deep, with good drainage, plentiful stones, and with favorable chemical and mineral components.

Serving temperature:18° C

Alcoholic content: 16% vol.

Storage life: 35-40 years
