The choice of the name “Otto bucce” wants to emphasize the unicity of this wine. Litteraly “8 skins” of eight different grapes have been blended to make this wine: Dolcetto, Barbera, Freisa, Bonarda and Albarossa, autochtonous grapes and symbolic wines of the Piedmont’s region and international vines such as Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon which contribute to give roundness and structure to this wine with an innovative character. The result is a very well balanced wine where each grape express itself in harmony with the other. Traditional red winemaking process and blending of the grapes. The wine then spends 12 months in the traditional big barrels and concludes its refining in French oak barrels.
“Intense nose of cassis, black cherries, licorice and cinnamon. Full-bodied, ripe and sweetly spiced, with creamy tannins. Off-dry feel. Dolcetto, barbera, bonarda, albarossa, freisa, merlot, syrah and cabernet sauvignon. Vegan. Drink now.” Vintage 2022, James Suckling 88/100
